Filing Period for Federal, State and County Offices in Minnesota is now Open

The filing period opened Tuesday for federal, state and county offices and it will remain open until 5pm on June 2^nd.

So far in Faribault County, two candidates have filed for Sheriff, Christopher Albers and D.J. Bullerman.

In another filing, Bill Anderson is running for Soil and Water Supervisor District 5 position.

Those interesting in running at the county level can file over the two week period at the County Auditor/Treasurer’s Office.  The filing fee for county positions is $50.

The primary election will take place on Tuesday, August 11^th.

Filings for all other offices, cities and school districts without primaries or townships with November elections, will open July 14^th and stay open until July 28^th.
