The Blue Earth Area School Board heard a wide range of updates during its regular May meeting Monday night, including presentation from the district’s art and science departments, a report on therapy dog Frankie and an update on a new cardiac emergency response plan set to launch this fall.
Superintendent Mandy Fletcher also highlighted upcoming end of year events, including graduation on May 24th and a community facilities and referendum meeting set for May 28th in Pemberton Gymnasium.
The board also recognized Sarah Albright as Teacher of the Year and approved several staffing change, donations and grants, including a $25,000 school based services mini grant to expand student behavioral health support and telehealth access.
