The Blue Earth Area School Board met on Monday night and passed a resolution that calls for a special election on August 11th on whether the Blue Earth Area District will be able to issue bonds to build new facilities.
One question is to build a new K-7 school at a cost of $63.3 million.
The second question on the ballot concerns a $10.3 million bond to build additional space and make improvements to the current high school building.
The resolution passed on a 6-1 vote.
