The Faribault County Recorder’s Office has digitized more than 57,000 documents and 530 plats as part of its ongoing efforts to improve records access.
Commissioner Bruce Anderson also highlighted the return of passport services to the Recorder’s Office at the Faribault County Courthouse in Blue Earth. The office can take passport photos and process applications in one location. Hours are Monday through Thursday from 8am to 4pm and Friday, from 8am to 3:30pm.
The Recorder’s Office also received a Leadership Luminary Award from Fiddler, recognizing improvements in leadership and team dynamics.
In other business, Commissioners approved funding for six replacement mobile radios for the Faribault County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff Scott Adams and Chris Albers presented the request after an equipment review found the radios did not meet current encryption standards.
The upgrades will help ensure the department’s mobile radio equipment meets encryption requirements, limiting access to communications by people using conventional radio scanners.
