The Kossuth County Board of Supervisors is taking steps to replace longtime County Engineer Doug Mills, who is leaving for a job in the private sector.
Supervisors met Tuesday with Assistant County Engineer Dough Crouch about possibly servicing as interim engineer. Crouch says he would consider filling the role temporarily, while encouraging the county to find a permanent replacement as quickly as possible.
Miller submitted his resignation September 14th. He has served as Kossuth County Engineer since January of 2009, with his final day set for October 16th.
The county is accepting applications for the position until it is filled.
