The Blue Earth Area School Board held its regular September meeting Monday night.
Superintendent Mandy Fletcher received a positive overall evaluation, with goals set for the coming year including the district’s strategic roadmap, school culture and climate and asset protection as bond and facility projects move forward.
Fletcher also reported a smooth start to the school year and thanked staff for their preparation. K-12 enrollment currently stands at 929 students, a decline the district anticipated based on local birth and population trends.
The district’s facility planning group, made up of about 30 to 35 community stakeholders, has also begun meeting.
The board approved the initial levy at the maximum allowed amount, along with joining Minnesota Trust to invest bond proceeds, a technology support contract, a $25,000 anonymous donation and several personnel changes.
