The Faribault County Board of Commissioners have approved a conditional use permit for Herbal Care LLC to operate a cannabis microbusiness.
The board initially denied the request August 18th, citing concerns about nearby small children. Commissioners revisited the request Tuesday and approved it with several conditions.
Those include a 12 foot impervious fence between the property and neighboring properties, an intake and exhaust fan on the greenhouse closest to the neighbors and an agreement not to grow cannabis varieties known for producing strong odors.
The business will operate as an agricultural operation and no cannabis dispensary will be located on the property.
