The filing period for municipal offices in Faribault County remains open through July 28th and many races still have no candidates on file for the November 3rd General Election.
As of Monday, just a handful of candidates have filed.
In Blue Earth, no candidates have filed for the City Council at large or the Board of Public Works.
Easton has its first candidates, with Bryant Stiernagle filing for mayor and Gayle Heise filing for city council.
In Minnesota Lake, Joan Proehl and Richard Staloch have both filed for city council.
Walters has a full slate of candidates so far. Nonna Goin has filed for mayor, while Brent Stencel and Benjamin Haukoos have filed for the two city council seats.
In Winnebago, Scott J. Robertson has filed for mayor. For city council, Brian Dahms and Ryan Hatlen have filed for one seat, while Darold Nienhaus has filed for the second council position.
Among township races, Brenda Baldwin has filed for Blue Earth City Township Treasurer. In Verona Township, Jason Engelby and Neal Mensing have filed for supervisor seats, and Donald Selvig has filed for Township Treasurer.
No candidates have yet filed for mayor or council positions in Bricelyn, Delavan, Elmore, Frost, Kiester or Wells.
The filing period closes Tuesday, July 28th.
