The City of Blue Earth is accepting applications for its 2026 Deer Control Program, a special archery hunt aimed at managing the local deer population.
The hunt will run from September 19th through December 31st in designated areas of Steinberg Park and Leland Parkway. Twenty special permits will be issued, with hunters selected based on scores from a required archery proficiency test scheduled for August 20th through the 22nd.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and submit a registration form with a $15 administrative fee by August 17th. Hunters selected for the program will pay an additional $30 participation free and must follow Minnesota’s “Earn A Buck” regulations.
