The Faribault County Sheriff’s Office took time to recognize one of its own this week at the Faribault County Board of Commissioners meeting as Sheriff Scott Adams received the Patriot Employer Award, an honor presented by the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve.
The nomination came from Deputy Michael Sharp, a recent addition to the department and a 19 year member of the National Guard.
The award recognizes employers who go above and beyond in supporting employees serving in the military. In this case, it highlights the Sheriff’s Office commitment to allowing Guard and Reserve members to fulfill their duties, with the assurance their jobs will be waiting when they return.
Officials say it reflects a strong culture of support for those balancing military service and local law enforcement.
