Martin County Sheriff Jeff Markquart has announced that he will not seek re-election and will retire at the end of his current term.
In a Facebook post, Markquart says serving the residents of Martin County as Sheriff for the past 16 years has been an incredible honor. Markquart says he’s deeply grateful for the trust he has received from the public over the years, as well as the opportunity to work alongside the dedicated men and women of the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.
