The Commission on Judicial Selection has announced a vacancy in Minnesota’s Fifth Judicial District following the upcoming retirement of Judge Krista J. Jass. The seat will be chambered in Mankato, serving Blue Earth County.
The application process is now open. The commission is seeking fair, experienced and civic minded applicants and will evaluate candidates based on statutory qualifications, including integrity, judicial temperament, legal knowledge, experience and community service. Applicants reflecting Minnesota’s diversity are encouraged to apply.
Applications may be requested by emailing Judicial.Selection@state.mn.us and are due by 4pm on January 27th. Materials should be addressed to commission chair Erin Sindberg Porter. Interviews are expected to take place in mid-February.
