According to the criminal complaint, a bar patron told investigators the incident began when the patron went outside to smoke and observed Tuttle in his garage across the street, where he was allegedly assaulting a woman. The witness reportedly intervened, allowing the woman to leave the property.
The complaint states that Tuttle later entered the bar and confronted the witness, displaying aggressive behavior before staff asked him to leave the establishment.
Shortly after being removed from the bar, witnesses standing outside Julie’s Bar reported seeing Tuttle sitting on his front porch and pointing what appeared to be a firearm at them. Witnesses said they heard “clicking sounds” consistent with a trigger being pulled. One witness identified the weapon as a 9mm pistol.
Law enforcement later executed a search warrant at Tuttle’s residence. Deputies located three BB or Airsoft replica firearms, one of which matched the description of the weaopon described by witnesses. Officers also found a live shotgun shell.
Court records state Tuttle is prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition due to multiple prior felony convictions for crimes of violence. The case remains pending in Faribault County District Court.
