A Titonka man is facing a felony assault charge after he was arrested last week in connection with an alleged incident this fall.
According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, deputies conducted a warrant check around 1:45pm Wednesday at a residence in Titonka, where they located 34 year old Cody James Farrow. A warrant for Farrow’s arrest was issued earlier that day.
A criminal complaint filed in Kossuth County District Court alleges Farrow drove the victim to a rural road, where they had an argument. During the argument, Farrow allegedly covered the mouth of the victim to prevent them from speaking. After being pushed away, Farrow allegedly lunged at the victim and used both hands to grab their neck. The victim told law enforcement that they had to catch their breath after Farrow let go, and that the incident left bruises.
Farrow has been charged with Domestic Abuse Assault Impeding Air or Blood Flow Causing Personal Injury, a Class D Felony. He was booked into the Kossuth County Jail to await an initial court appearance. Online records indicate Farrow is scheduled to have a preliminary court hearing on January 5th.
