A five vehicle crash on Highway 15 at Torgerson Drive in Fairmont sent one driver and a passenger to the hospital late Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, all vehicles were traveling northbound when they collided on a wet roadway at approximately 5:40pm.
A 2018 Cadillac XT5 SUV, driven by 91 year old Paul Hugert Moklebust of Yuma, Arizona, suffered life threatening injuries. He was not wearing a seatbelt. Moklebust was taken to Fairmont Hospital.
A passenger in a 2008 Cadillac CTS, 41 year old Kayla Lynn Sybrant of St. Paul, sustained non life threatening injuries and was transported to Fairmont Hospital.
A 202 Chevrolet Equinox, driven by 47 year old Kelly Jean Perkins of Fairmont and her passenger, 49 year old Aaron Warren Perkins, also of Fairmont, were not injured.
A 2008 Chevrolet Impala, driven by 20 year old Caitlin Elizabeth Jordan of Trimont and her passenger, 27 year old Evan Lamar Jordan, also of Trimont, were not injured.
The remaining drivers and passengers, including several juveniles, reported no injuries and were not transported.
The Martin County Sheriff’s Office, Fairmont Police and Fire and Mayo Ambulance assisted at the scene.
