A Truman man wanted for arson has been arrested after an incident last Friday in Jackson.
At around 1:45pm, a Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputy was attempting to pull over a vehicle in the parking lot of the Jackson Inn when the vehicle took off. The Sheriff’s Office says the driver, later identified as 26 year old Chrostopher Baer of Truman, then jumped out of the moving vehicle which continued into the Good Stop Gas Station parking lot where it collided with a parked semi. Baer then fled on foot into the Jackson Inn Motel where he was later located and arrested. He was charged with fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle and fleeing a police officer on foot.
Baer was also being held on a felony warrant from Martin County for 1st degree arson.
