A 62 year old Wells woman is facing drug sale and possession charges in Nicollet County District Court following a controlled buy involving law enforcement and a confidential informant.
Kimberly Ann Jahnke was identified by the informant as a source for methamphetamine, according to a criminal complaint. On June 27th, 2024, agents with the Brown-Lyon-Redwood-Renville Drug Task Force met with the informant, searched them and their vehicle and provided $400 in premarked cash, along with an audio and video recording device, according to the criminal complaint.
The informant arranged to meet Jahnke at an apartment complex in North Mankato. Under surveillance, the informant retrieved a small pouch from a cat kennel located in a garage at the complex and left the marked cash behind. The pouch reportedly contained a substance that tested positive for methamphetamine and weighed about 29 grams with packaging.
A check of Jahnke’s criminal history showed prior felony convictions for controlled substance possession between 2014 and 2022.
