Faribault County Board Sets the Preliminary Budget for 2026 at just under $17 Million

The Faribault County Board of Commissioners met on Tuesday and set the preliminary budget and levy for 2026.

Commissioner Bill Groskreutz said the preliminary budget is currently set to $16,985,252 or an increase of 6.78%.

The board will now work over the next few months to reduce the nearly $17 million levy amount.

The Commissioners also set the Truth and Taxation meeting for December 16^th, at 6pm in the Faribault County Courthouse boardroom.
