A young driver was hospitalized after a crash on Interstate 90, near the Wells exit.
The State Patrol says 19 year old Donaldo Velasquez of Worthington, was driving a 2012 Hyundai Sonata east on I-90 in wet conditions, when he hydroplaned into the median, hit the crossover and landed in the center median.
The State Patrol says the crash took place around 8 am Saturday, just east of the Wells exit.
Valasquez suffered what are described as non life threatening injuries. He was transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea for treatment.
The Faribault County Sheriff’s Office, Albert Lea Ambulance, Wells Fire Department and Wells Police Department assisted at the scene.
