The USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service released the crop progress report for Minnesota and Iowa for the week ending June 15th.
Minnesota corn was 98% emerged, putting emergency 3 days ahead of average. Corn condition was rated 75% good to excellent, a 1% decline from a week ago.
At 97%, nearly all of Iowa’s corn crop has emerged, ahead of last year’s pace but matching the 5 year average. Corn condition rated 84% good to excellent, the same as last week.
At 94%, Minnesota soybean emergence was about six days ahead of the five year average. Soybean condition was rated 74% good to excellent, the same as a week ago.
Soybeans in Iowa were 93% emerged, 1 week ahead of last year and 2 days ahead of normal. Soybean condition was rated 80% good to excellent, a 1% decline from last week.
