Two Fairmont men were sent to the hospital after two motorcycles collided last week in Clear Lake.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened on Wednesday around 9:05am in the 1900 block of U.S. Highway 18. The Patrol says 80 year old David Landsteiner and 81 year old Gerald Bohlsen, both of Fairmont were riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles when Landsteiner stopped for a red light and was struck by Bohlsen.
The Patrol says both riders were thrown from their motorcycles and came to rest in the middle of the intersection. A passenger on the Landsteiner motorcycle, 79 year old Bonnie Landsteiner of Fairmont, was not thrown from the cycle.
David Landsteiner and Bohlsen were taken to MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center for treatment, while Bonnie Landsteiner was not hurt.
