The Martin County Board of Commissioners is moving forward with plans to relocate the Veterans Services and Extension/4-H Offices into a county owned building on North State Street.
On Monday, the board approved a $25,000 proposal from Bolton & Menk to handle design work for parking lot improvements at the site. The project includes surveying the property and making grading upgrades to improve the lot.
Commissioners also signed off on the schematic floor plan for the new office space after department heads provided input.
The next step is hiring an architect to finalize designs and develop specifications for the remodel project as the county continues planning the move.
