United South Central will see several staffing changes at the end of the school year as four longtime teachers prepare to retire.
Superintendent Taylor Topinka says Anne Feist, Brad Huse, Pierre Stencel and Amy Stenzel will retire this spring, with service ranging from 16 to 27 years in the district. Topinka thanked them for their dedication and impact on USC Schools.
The district is now accepting applications for multiple elementary teaching positions and a high school physical education teacher. USC is also seeking van and bus drivers, with training provided by the district.
Meanwhile, USC’s facilities taskforce is reviewing enrollment trends and space needs as it considers possible expansion plans. A community information meeting is set for Tuesday, February 19th at 6pm, at the Golden Bubble Event Center, with a meal and childcare provided.
