The Blue Earth City Council has approved the city’s 2026 budget and levy.
At a special council meeting on Monday night, City Administrator Dawn Collins presented the final numbers, with the total budget coming in at just over $2.6 million, a 13% increase over last year.
The council voted 6-0 to approve both the levy and the budget, with Councilmember John Huisman abstaining from both votes.
The new budget goes into effect January 1st, guiding city spending and programs for the upcoming year.
