A Blue Earth Area bus driver and a Minnesota Lake woman were injured in a two vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon near Easton.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol at approximately 4:17 pm, the Blue Earth Area bus driven by 65-year-old Donald Lee Madden of Amboy was Southbound on 480th Avenue, and a 2017 Chevy Equinox driven by 72-year-old Marylou Sophia Alger of Minnesota Lake was eastbound on Highway 109 when they collided.
Madden was transported to Mayo Clinic Health System Mankato with non-life threatening injuries. Two passengers on the bus a 12 year-old male and an 8-year-old female were not hurt.
Alger was taken to United Hospital District in Blue Earth with non-life threatening injuries. A 3-year-old female passenger with Alger was not hurt in the accident.
The Faribault County Sheriff’s Office, Wells Police Department, Easton Fire Department, Winnebago Ambulance and Wells Ambulance assisted at the scene.
