A Mapleton man was injured in a one vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon, north of Mankato.
According to the Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 4:15pm, 50 year old Jeffrey James Mann was southbound on Lime Valley Road in a Chevy Impala when the car crossed the oncoming lane of traffic and entered the east ditch, striking a utility pole. The collision caused power lines to fall to the ground, which prompted a temporary road closure.
Mann was transported by ambulance to the hospital with serious but non life-threatening injuries.
The Mayo Ambulance, Mankato Fire, Mankato Police and the State Patrol assisted at the scene.
