A Fairmont woman has been charged this week with criminal vehicular homicide and driving under the influence, according to court records.
A criminal complaint filed in Martin County District Court on Monday alleges that 56-year-old Kristin Carol St. John of Fairmont, was under the influence of controlled substances when the vehicle she was operating struck 64-year-old Lori A. DeVoe crossing East 4th Street in Fairmont on the evening of Sept. 26.
DeVoe was pronounced dead at the scene by Fairmont Police. St. John was arrested and taken into custody. A urinalysis at the jail indicated the presence of amphetamine, methamphetamine and THC, according to the criminal complaint.
St. John is scheduled to appear in Martin County District Court in Fairmont on Monday, October 6th.
