Three people were injured in a two vehicle accident on I-90 in Faribault County on Monday night.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol at approximately 9:34 pm, a 2021 Ford Escape driven by 58-year-old Kirk L. Belt of Chicago, Illinois was eastbound on Interstate 90 when it struck a deer standing in the lane and a 2019 Toyota Highlander driven by 58-year-old Kathleen Gail Oster of Eau Claire, Wisconsin was also eastbound on Interstate 90 when they collided near milepost 138 in Foster Township.
Belt was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester with non-life threatening injuries.
Oster and her passenger 59-year-old Darin Eric Oster were taken to Albert Lea Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
All three were wearing their seatbelts and alcohol was not involved.
The Faribault County Sheriff’s Office, Wells Police, Wells Fire, Wells Ambulance and Mayo helicopter assisted at the scene.
