The Martin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a vehicle theft and attempted ATM theft that occurred early Friday morning in Truman.
At approximately 4:45am, Police Officers were informed that a Chevrolet 1500 pickup was stolen from the 500 block of East 2nd Street North. Moments later, the stolen pickup was used in an attempt to forcibly remove an ATM at Profinium Financial.
The suspects were unsuccessful in accessing the contents of the ATM and subsequently fled the scene. Video surveillance has confirmed that three individuals were involved, all of whom were wearing face coverings.
The Martin County Sheriff’s Office adds that in addition to the stolen pickup, investigators believe two other vehicles, a light colored minivan and a 4 door White Chevy Pickup, may be connected to the crime.
The suspects were last seen traveling eastbound on 240th Street out of Truman.
