A motorcycle crash northeast of Minnesota Lake has claimed the life of a Waterville man.
According to the Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office, on Saturday afternoon deputies responded to a motorcycle crash with injuries on County Road 161, just south of County Road 159 in Danville Township. Deputies identified the rider as 54 year old Ronald Berger Remme of Waterville.
The preliminary investigation suggests Remme was riding his 2006 Harley Davison south on County Road 161, lost control and was thrown off the motorcycle. Remme was alone and there were not witnesses.
Remme was not wearing a helmet and a sustained serious injuries during the crash. Deputies and first responders from the Minnesota Lake Fire and Ambulance attempted life saving measures at the scene but were unsuccessful.
The crash remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office with assistance from the MN State Patrol and Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office.
