Winnebago Industries has announced plans to close two of its manufacturing facilities in northeast Iowa, according to a notice posted on the Iowa WARN website.
The company will cease operations at its Waverly and Charles City locations in the coming months, resulting in significant job losses.
The Waverly facility is scheduled to shut down on September 8th, impacting 77 employees. On the same day, 18 workers at the Charles City site will also be laid off.
A second round of layoffs in Charles City is planned for December 12th, when the facility is expected to close entirely. That move will affect an additional 26 workers.
