The Blue Earth City Council met on Monday and approved the following items that were on the agenda.
An event permit for American Legion Post 89 to host their outdoor dart tournament on Saturday, June 21st, a permit for Granada Gardens, the hiring of Katie Stoddard as a part time library assistant and accepted the resignation of Mark Heenan from the Public Works Department after 15 years of service. His last day will be Friday, June 27th.
Toward the close of the meeting, Council member John Huisman asked that the council reconsider its previous decision regarding not having a police presence at City Council meetings. The issue was tabled and will be discussed at the next council meeting on July 7th.
