The Faribault County Board of Commissioners met Tuesday and received construction updates from County Engineer April Wellman.
Wellman informed the board that the milling process had begun on County State Aid Highway 17, south of Frost, last Friday. Once that process is done, the crews will start the reclaiming process, which should be completed by the end of the month with the paving of the road scheduled to take place in June or July and the paving of Highway 25 will happen sometime this fall.
Wellman also shared that the bridge repair on Highway 12, west of Winnebago is also in progress, along with the lighting of the intersections on Highway 16, at the Frost and Bricelyn corners.
In other business, the Commissioners approved the hiring of Missy Sonnek as the new Jail Administrator to replace the retiring Todd Hanevik. Sonnek, who is the current Assistant Jail Administrator, will begin her new duties on Friday.
