Four people were injured in a two vehicle accident on Highway 30, near Lewisville on Friday afternoon.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, at approximately 3:49pm, a 2009 Kia Sportage driven by 54 year old Tammy Michelle Nix of Lewisville and a 2011 Honda Civic driven by 42 year old Jennifer Elyse Haugen of New Ulm, were traveling north bound on Highway 30 when the vehicles collided.
Haugen was taken to the St. James Emergency Room with non life threatening injuries.
Nix and her two passengers, 51 year old Jeanette York and 9 year old Alyssa York, both of Welcome, were taken to the Madelia Hospital with non life threatening injuries.
All four were wearing their seatbelts and alcohol was not involved in the accident.
The Madelia Police Department and the Watonwan County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
