A clerk at the Madison Avenue Kwik Trip was murdered early Tuesday morning and a suspect has been arrested.
Thirty four year old Dennis Vosika of Mankato, was found unresponsive when authorities arrived at the convenience store shortly after 3am. Authorities say Vosika died of multiple stab wounds.
Police identified the suspect by reviewing surveillance footage and arrested 28 year old Michael Miller at his residence without incident around 6am. Police say Miller was a known customer at the store and easily identified.
Police are seeking a charge of second degree murder against Miller.
Law enforcement officials had the Kwik Trip property sealed off shortly after the incident. The Mankato Department of Public Safety is working with the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension on the investigation.
