USDA Reports Scattered Fertilizer Application in Weekly Report

Cool and damp conditions in Minnesota prevented fieldwork over much of the state, with no days suitable for fieldwork during the week ending April 3rd, according to the USDA.

There were scattered reports of manure and fertilizer application on dry land and many reports also mentioned frozen ground and snow cover.

Topsoil moisture supplies were rated 4% very short, 11% short, 66% adequate and 19% surplus.
