Faribault County Board Extends Short Term Loan to Transit Board

The Faribault County Board of Commissioners voted on Tuesday to approve extending a short term loan of $60,000 to the Faribault-Martin County Transit Board to cover a portion of the funds needed to purchase two replacement vehicles.

One of the vehicles arrived February 28th and the other should be here soon.  MnDot will reimburse the board 90% of the vehicle cost up to the contract amount.  The total cost of the vehicles is just over $184,000.

The Commissioner also approved a training request from Mary Eckhardt of the Faribault County Attorney’s Office to attend a training meeting and a request of Emily Bonin of the Faribault County Sheriff’s Office to attend the Minnesota Fraud Investigators Association Spring Conference.
