On Monday, January 24th the Wells City Council met and approved the city’s policy for the use of body worn cameras for Wells Law Enforcement Officers.
Council Members also began the process to amend two city ordinances. The first change involves the burning of leaves or grass clippings and if approved, the ordinance will restrict the open burning of leaves of grass clippings, except for between the dates of October 1st and December 1st of each calendar year. The second change is to an ordinance regarding rental inspection requirements.
The Council reviewed the changes and set a first reading for the changes for the next regularly scheduled council meeting on Monday, February 14th.
Brandon Nasinec was appointed to the Housing Redevelopment Authority was approved. The HRA will now meet on the third Monday of every month at 5pm at the Wells Community Center.
A public hearing was set for March 28th, at the Wells Community Center, regarding the transfer of County Ditch 87 to the City of Wells.
