The Faribault County Humane Society hosted an open house on Monday at their current location on Grant Street in Blue Earth, near the water treatment plant. The event was held in conjunction with the celebration of Betty White’s 100th birthday, the Betty White Challenge and an adoption event.
A representative of the Humane Society stated that at this time they have a verbal agreement with the owner of a building in the Blue Earth Industrial Park to purchase and relocate the shelter.
Currently the Humane Society is housing several cats and kittens; there are currently no dogs available for adoption.
