The latest numbers from the Iowa Department of Public Health show 5 more Iowans have died from COVID-19 and another 109 Iowans have tested positive for the coronavirus.
The number of new positive COVID-19 tests reported for the time period brings the total number of individuals who have tested positive up to 372,239.
The data from the IDPH shows there have been 6,078 total deaths from the coronavirus in the state so far. Of those deaths, 2,370 were residents of long term care facilities. There are 4 long term care facilities in Iowa reporting outbreaks of COVID-19.
A vaccine dashboard on the department of health website shows 1,397,113 people are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
