Minnesota health officials reported on Tuesday 583 new cases of the coronavirus and 9 more deaths.
According to the Minnesota Department of Health, 7,240 people have died because of the virus. A total of 4,377 of those deaths have occurred in long term care facilities.
A total of 589,527 cases have been confirmed in Minnesota since the pandemic began in March of last year.
