Minnesota health officials reported on Wednesday 1,715 new cases of the coronavirus and 16 more deaths.
According to the Minnesota Department of Health, 6,978 people have died because of the virus. A total of 4,320 of those deaths have occurred in long term care facilities.
A total of 547,101i cases have been confirmed in Minnesota since the pandemic began in March of last year.
