MN & Iowa Farmers Take Advantage of Warm Weather to Start Fieldwork

Minnesota had 3.2 days suitable for fieldwork for the week ending April 14th, according to the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service. Fieldwork included small grains planting, tilling and manure applications.  Livestock were doing well with calving continuing. Faribault County Recorder Releases March Vital Statistics

Fairmont Council Hires Mathew Skaret as New City Administrator

The Fairmont City Council approved the hiring of a new city administrator Monday night. Former Jackson administrator Mathew Skaret will be starting in Fairmont on April 29th.  The Council and Skaret agreed on a starting salary of $153,961 and $3000 for moving expenses.
