MDH Reports 2,287 COVID-19 Cases on Friday, The Largest Single Day Increase Since the Pandemic Began

Minnesota Health Officials reported on Friday 2,287 additional cases of COVID-19, the largest single day spike in cases since the pandemic began and 13 more deaths were also reported.


According to data from the Minnesota Department of Health, there have been 119,145 confirmed cases of the virus in the state, with more than 105,000 of those cases no longer need to quarantine themselves.


More than 1.6 million people have been tested for COVID-19 since March.


Of those who have contracted the virus, 2,203 have died and deaths among those who resided in long term care or assisted living facilities increased to 1,559.
