The Minnesota Department of Health reports 33 more residents have died of COVID-19, the highest one day total since the state began keeping track this spring. The deaths reported on Friday raised the state’s total to 842 with 688 of the deaths were people who resided in long term care or assisted living facilities.
The Health Department also reported 813 new confirmed cases, increasing the total in the state to 19,005.
As of Friday, 534 patients were hospitalized with 233 of them in intensive care and 12,696 patients have recovered and no longer require isolation.
The total number of confirmed cases in Blue Earth County is 108, in Freeborn County the total is 76, the total in Martin County is 124 cases and in Faribault County there are 11 confirmed cases.
