County Commissioner Approve Opening Pihls Park to Seasonal Campers

The Faribault County Commissioners have approved the opening of Pihls Park to seasonal campers.

The vote to open the park passed 3-2, with Loveall and Warmka voting no.

The motion states the restrooms will be locked at this time.  Seasonal campers will have to sign a waver of liability releasing the County from an responsibility should any of them contact COVID-19.

The Board also approved a conditional use permit to Scott Legried and Micah Twedt to allow a feedlot with more than 1,000 animal units in Rome Township.  The permit passed on a 4-1 vote.

Board Members also approved a motion unanimously pledging support for the City of Blue Earth/APX Housing Project in the form of a 20 year tax abatement.

At the end of the meeting Tuesday, Faribault County Commissioner Tom Warmka announced that he will not be seeking reelection to the County Board.  His current term will expire at the end of the year.
