Crude oil prices have increased and dropped twice in the past 7 days.
The first spike occurred last Friday following a U.S. drone strike and prices spiked again on Tuesday when over a dozen missiles were launched by Iran at military bases in Iraq that housed American Soldiers in retaliation for the drone strike.
Although there is no immediate threat to the crude supply domestically or globally, gasoline prices have increased in Minnesota and Iowa.
AAA reports that the average price in Minnesota is $2.47, 6 cents a gallon more than a week ago and in Iowa the average price is $2.41, 4 cents higher than last Friday.
Missouri had the lowest average price in the nation at $2.22 per gallon. The national average price per gallon is $2.59.
