Monday night the City of Blue Earth accepted a 30 day notice from City Administrator Tim Ibisch that he would be leaving his job as City Administrator.
Mayor Rick Scholtes thanked Ibisch for his 5 years of work serving the City and said that the City would now be moving forward with the process of finding his replacement.
Ibisch has accepted the job as City Administrator in Kasson, MN. His first day on the job in Kasson is scheduled for the first week of January.
The Council approved the agreement with Bolten and Menk for City Engineering services in 2020, approved a yearly agreement with Frundt, Lundquist and Gustafson Law Firm of Blue Earth to serve as the City Attorney in 2020 and approved moving forward with the process of vehicle leasing for new vehicles for the City.
The City also held their truth and taxation hearing, no one from the public attended the hearing. The Council is expected to approve the levy and budget for next year at their meeting on December 16th.
Council Members also voted to proceed with an energy audit of all of the City’s buildings and discussed an ordinance that would sell six lots in the new housing development to APX Construction of Mankato for $109,000.
