Numerous Crashes Reported in the Area as The First Snowstorm of the Season Hits

Law Enforcement Officials responded to numerous accidents across Southern Minnesota and Northern Iowa as the first snowstorm of the season brought three to five inches of snow to the region.

 

One of the accidents investigated by the Minnesota State Patrol occurred in Faribault County on Tuesday night.  A pickup driven by 42 year old Stasha Benjamin of Jackson, was westbound on Interstate 90 when the driver lost control and crossed the median, rolling several times.

 

Benjamin was taken to the hospital in Blue Earth with non life threatening injuries.

 

Assisting at the scene were the Blue Earth Police Department, Faribault County Sheriff’s Department and Blue Earth Ambulance.
