B.E. Fire Department Responds to Call at EDI on Tuesday Morning

The Blue Earth Fire Department was called out just before 6am Tuesday morning, on a report of a fire in the EDI Building in the Industrial Park in Blue Earth.


Fire Chief Roger Davis said there was no fire, but a lot of smoke caused by spontaneous combustion of some materials that were left in a bucket.


The smoke impacted the EDI part of the building and another part of the building that is rented by Kerry Ingredients.


Firefighters were at the scene for about and hour and a half and no injuries were reported.


The Blue Earth Police Department assisted at the scene.
